Chiesa di Orzinuovi
Between history and renewal.
The Sanctuary of Orzinuovi is a place of great religious importance, frequented by pilgrims and devotees of the area and neighboring countries. Its construction had a remarkable development in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, thanks to the proximity to a Bergamo sanctuary. The project of the sanctuary is the work of architect Pier Antonio Macagnini and has a facade with two orders, decorated with Ionic pilasters and a triangular tympanum. Inside, there is a large dome illuminated by a skylight, above the high presbytery that houses the high altar with a painting of the Ascension of Sante Cattaneo.
In the crypt, until 1949, there was a mural fresco of the Caravaggina apparition. Today, there are plaster statues of the Madonna and Giannetta prostrate at her feet. The sanctuary is still a destination of devotion, with numerous votive offerings preserved in the sacristy and masses crowded.
To ensure optimal comfort for visitors and faithful, the innovative MORE FTA-e electric underfloor radiant heating system has been installed, with low thickness, low inertia and high efficiency.
MORE FTA-e does not require masonry and, for this reason, can be used to cover floors of value or historical value without damaging them. The system is complete with a specific thermoregulation device that allows the modulation of the thermal load according to the floor temperature and the room temperature.
